Company NA was founded in 1994, when two enthusiastic friends Normunds and Aldis decided to join their professional skills to evolve technical and visual stage design in Latvia. Over 25 years later we are a world class lighting equipment production company, also creating innumerable lighting shows and stage designs for events not only in Latvia, but also around the world. During these years we’ve been able to work closely with professionals of the industry and are proud to be among the world's most recognized lighting manufacturers.
We create a wide variety of lighting products, such as spotlights, testers, DMX splitters & recorders, controllers and signal processing equipment. History
“Company NA” was founded on July 4th, 1994 when friends from university Aldis and Normunds decided to create an enterprise to join their experience and passion for the event industry. Since that day the journey to the stage and lighting world had begun.
From 1994 to 1999 “Company NA” gained experience, knowledge and improved professional skills. In 1996 the first self-manufactured products (dimmers and blinders) were used in events. 1998 was a pivotal year for the company, working over 250 events around the Baltic States.
In 2001 Company NA was invited to work on Riga’s 800th anniversary celebration events “Rīgai 800”, providing technical equipment and visual designs. This becomes a cornerstone of technology, design and manufacturing process development.
In 2003 “Company NA” collaborated with a Swedish lighting and video design company “Spectra Plus”, providing technical and visual support to the Eurovision Song Contest in Riga. This was a priceless international experience for the company.
This year highlights in Company NA’s history by working on many large-scale projects like Eurovision Song Contest in Kyiv, local supergroup Brainstorm concerts, Latvian Song and Dance Festival and many more. During 2004 and 2005 the company focused on lighting equipment development and stage decoration production.
In 2006 “Company NA” designed the first LED fixture - “PentaStar LED”, which is the predecessor of all LED fixtures that we are manufacturing now.
Company’s technological achievements provide the opportunity to attend the most important exhibition of the industry - Pro Light and Sound 2010.
2013 Company NA wins PLASA Award for Innovation, that makes the brand even more recognizable. By now the company has successfully provided technical support and visual design for many festivals, TV Shows, celebrations and other events around the country - Positivus, Summer Sound, Brainstorm concert tour, Latvian Song and Dance Festival and many more. Company keeps exceeding and developing new technologies, learning from each event.
In 2014 Riga was nominated European Capital of Culture. This becomes an important international experience as Company Na is invited to provide technical services and lighting designs for the events. To mention one of the most impressive – world famous Latvian performer’s concert “Born in Riga”, that took place on a specially designed outdoor stage next to the Latvian National Opera and Ballet house. The concert gathered many classical music admirers and was translated live in many European countries.
In 2016 a new tradition was born – Company NA begins Technology days. It is a gathering of professionals and enthusiasts of the industry, joining to share experience and developments, participating in discussions about innovations and trends of the entertainment industry.
2018 is the 100th anniversary year of Latvia, which leads to numerous events in which NA takes part as a service provider. It’s also a great year for Company NA in developing new products which receive appreciation in prestigious PLASA Show 2018 by winning awards for innovation.
Investing in new equipment as well as hiring more highly skilled employees leads to significant growth of production capacity. 25 years have been spent learning, evolving and gaining experience. Now the company is offering service of a skillful staff, technical support and manufactured goods for all industries.
